About This Role:
As the Finance Partner, R&D (Manager), you will be the finance lead supporting clinical development programs, business development R&D modeling, and other projects as necessary—providing program-level financial leadership and hands-on clinical trial financial oversight.

What You’ll Do:
- Build and manage detailed clinical study budgets (per protocol, per patient, per country/site)
- Track trial spend across categories (CROs, FSP/FSO, investigative sites, labs, vendors)
- Oversee change orders, pass-through costs, and contract modifications; partner with Accounting for month-end close
- Monitor enrollment assumptions and cost drivers impacting forecasts
- Conduct variance analysis and identify financial risks to timelines or budgets
- Support negotiation and financial evaluation of vendor contracts
- Serve as primary finance business partner for one or more development programs
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning
- Develop integrated program financial models (risk-adjusted, scenario-based)
- Support portfolio prioritization and stage-gate investment decisions
- Provide R&D financial modeling for business development and licensing opportunities
- Present financial updates, risk assessments, and investment scenarios to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies

Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years finance experience (investment banking or Pharm/Biotech preferred)
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling; ERP and Hyperion planning experience
- Strong business partnering and communication; high integrity and attention to detail
- Process improvement mindset

Preferred Skills:
- MBA
- Understanding of the drug development lifecycle
- Portfolio modeling experience
