Finance Lead, R&D Finance – Financial Planning & Analysis

Role Summary

Finance Lead, R&D Finance – Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead financial planning and analysis for Plan, Update, LBE and LRP, as well as month-end close. Support the Medical Affairs + Health Impact Finance team and the MHI SVP and leadership in strategic planning and execution for the Therapeutic Area Business Units, Value & Evidence, International, Medical Engagement and Strategy & Innovation organizations. Serve as the primary MHI Finance contact for MHI OUS and collaborate with Commercial Finance on Plan, LRP and International VP reporting and ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all planning cycles (Plan/Update, LRP and LBE) including meaningful commentary and analysis.
• Responsible for executive summaries and presentations to senior management/ VPs.
• Responsible for financial close activities, including accruals and reclasses.
• Responsible for ensuring monthly financial results are delivered accurately and timely and executive summaries with commentary are prepared and delivered to the senior management/VPs.
• As primary MHI Finance contact for MHI OUS, partner with Commercial Finance on Plan, LRP and International VP reporting and ad hoc requests.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 6+ years of progressive Accounting or Finance experience
• Required: Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Required: Self-starter with ability to operate independently, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility
• Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently support multiple VPs within function and to influence others that do not report directly

Education

• BA in Accounting or Finance; CPA/MBA a plus
