Finance Lead

Role Summary

Finance Lead responsible for ongoing financial forecasting, building financial models to support senior management decisions on business issues such as new product development, portfolio analysis, expense and investment analyses, profitability of opportunities, revenue models, and margin analysis. Prepares and analyzes actual results and forecasts versus multiple scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and develops drafts of annual Plan, long-range plan (LRP), and month-end close as required, including P&L, headcount, expenses, and cash flow using multiple planning systems and incorporating review changes from financial and operating management.
• Prepares variance analysis for each planning cycle and management reporting schedules under direction of Manager.
• Works directly with US and international leads on monthly close and financial reporting processes to ensure complete, accurate, and timely results, including variance analysis and commentary for P&L. Understands monthly results and communicates issues vs. benchmark to agree on resolution or action plan.
• Performs ad hoc analysis and forecasts for internal management team and external customers as requested.
• Works closely with other departments within AbbVie to ensure that strategic initiatives are achieved.
• Proactively searches for process improvements and is highly involved in the implementation of new planning and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor‚Äôs degree required; Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Preferred 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
• Strong financial, analytical, proactive, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to execute priorities established by Manager with speed and agility.
• Proficient Excel skills required.
• Knowledge of PowerBI, BPC, and SAP is a plus.
