Alcon is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Finance Intern to support day‑to‑day operational, analytical, and administrative activities across Contract Administration and Finance Operations. This role is ideal for a student with prior office or co‑op experience who is interested in business operations, finance, commercial processes, data analysis, and technology‑enabled efficiencies. You will help offload routine tasks, support documentation and reporting, assist with contract workflows, and contribute to process improvements—including building or automating templates to streamline work. This is a 4‑month paid internship role based in Mississauga, Canada. In this role, a typical day will include: Assist with daily activities related to PSA/EFA contracts, deal workflows, compliance monitoring, and documentation. Use AI tools to streamline tasks such as summarizing documents, drafting communications, generating checklists, and preparing meeting notes. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency using automation or simple coding/scripting solutions (e.g., VBA, Python, macros, template creation). Build or enhance templates, trackers, or job aids to support operational consistency and standardization. Document new AI‑assisted or automated processes and prepare easy-to-follow guides for team members. Support process‑improvement initiatives, including mapping workflows, updating documentation, and creating visual or written workflow guides. Collaborate with Finance Operations, Sales, and other internal partners to gather information and support departmental activities as needed. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON: Currently enrolled in a College or University program (Business, Commerce, Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields preferred) Previous experience in a professional office environment is required (e.g., co‑op, internship, previous summer placement, or part‑time business operations role). Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Preferred qualifications: Experience with basic coding, scripting, data analysis, or automation (e.g., VBA, Python, Power Query, template development) is considered a strong asset. Comfort using AI tools and an interest in leveraging technology to improve efficiency. Demonstrated interest in business operations, process improvement, or data‑driven work. Salary: CAD 25.33/hr to CAD 34.84/hr. Actual compensation will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
