Role Summary
Finance Business Partner Lead for MA Biologics Operations in Lexington, MA. You will provide financial business partnering support to MA Biologics Operations Leadership, acting as the lead finance partner to key site function heads and managers, delivering financial analysis, business and decision support, and co-creating innovative solutions to site challenges. The incumbent will advise on key business decisions, debate strategic issues, identify growth opportunities, and minimize exposure to the financial plan. The role is responsible for piloting the financial planning, reporting, consolidation, and analysis efforts for the site, as well as supporting monthly close, analysis responsibilities, and ad hoc projects. You will report into the Head of Finance- MA Bio Ops.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with site management and cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, engineering, etc.) to develop and implement action plans that drive performance and productivity.
- FP&A Leadership: Lead all FP&A activities, including monthly close, budgeting, long-range operating plans, and forecasts for the manufacturing site. Evaluate performance relative to forecasts and targets, and present financial results to senior and executive leadership.
- Strategic Projects: Support and drive strategic projects, including the completion and review of PAR models. Ensure alignment with global expectations and process improvements for error-free PAR models and MSC decks.
- Accounting & Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Provide clarity in financial reporting and support the team with strong accounting expertise (CPA preferred).
- ERP & Digital Tools: Serve as the site finance digital lead, spearheading the implementation and optimization of finance digital tools (e.g., ERP, COGS planning tools, SAP, IBM Planning Analytics) to drive efficiency and data integrity.
- Reporting & Analysis: Maintain planning and reporting models and databases. Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to shape critical business decisions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage key stakeholders, lead in-depth financial analysis, and provide business and decision support to enable innovative solutions and drive business growth.
- Deputy Head of Finance: Act as Deputy Head of Finance during absences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strong knowledge of technical ERP workflows in production/manufacturing (SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
- Proven ability to support and complete strategic projects, including PAR models and value creation initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial planning tools, and data visualization platforms.
