Field Service Engineer- Northern New Jersey

Role: Surgical Field Service Engineer supporting Alcon ophthalmic equipment in the New York/New Jersey area. Objectives: ensure effective functioning of surgical devices through troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and customer support; promote customer relationships and sales of maintenance contracts. Responsibilities: perform complex technical tasks including diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades; develop customer relationships; document service activities; escalate issues as needed; adhere to GxP regulations and SOPs; complete training to maintain compliance. Requirements: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; 2+ years relevant technical experience; fluency in English; ability to lift 50 pounds. Preferred: experience with advanced medical devices, laser systems, and hospital protocols; proficiency with ServiceMax/CRM tools; ability to work in high-pressure environments and travel up to 30%, primarily within NJ and NY territories.
