Field Service Engineer 1

Role: Field Engineer I responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of medical equipment for healthcare providers. Main objectives: ensure optimal equipment performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction through timely service. Responsibilities: perform scheduled maintenance, assist with complex repairs, support equipment installation, communicate effectively with customers, and document work activities. Qualifications: associate degree or equivalent military experience, 2+ years servicing electronic equipment or high school diploma with 4+ years relevant experience; valid driver’s license; proficiency in web applications and Microsoft Office; ability to work after hours and on-call. Preferred: technical expertise in Ultrasound and XR modalities. High-Value specifics: work primarily with hospital or healthcare system equipment, including ultrasound and X-ray, in a remote role based in Austin, TX requiring onsite customer support with occasional work from home. Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs and physical dexterity. Adherence to quality and safety standards such as GEHC’s Quality Manual and regulatory requirements is mandatory. The role emphasizes customer service, technical troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration with experienced engineers and support teams.
