Role Responsibilities:
- Support patient access to Corcept therapies by providing reimbursement and access services for healthcare practices in the Tennessee Valley area.
- Educate provider offices on coverage, coding, and billing processes.
- Help navigate payer policies for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
- Conduct field visits to clinics.
- Collaborate with sales and market access teams.
- Resolve reimbursement barriers.
- Assist with prior authorizations, appeals, and claims issues.
- Monitor regional payer trends.
- Support training and educational programs for office staff.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of public payer programs (Medicare, Medicaid) and related coverage, coding, and reimbursement processes.
- Experience in managed care environments, including working with health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and access or reimbursement programs.
- Background in medical billing or revenue cycle activities (claims submission, denials management, insurance verification).
- Experience in sales or field-based customer support in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare services focused on patient access and provider education.
- Knowledge of specialty pharmacy distribution, prior authorization processes, and appeals for specialty medications (highly beneficial).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills; ability to work cross-functionally and independently.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and ethical, compliant practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, life sciences) or equivalent experience in reimbursement and market access.
