Role: Oral Migraine Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) (field-based; live within a reasonable distance of the primary city; cities: Memphis, TN and Little Rock, AR).
Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools/services.
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution).
- Educate on resources to address access issues.
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies, including payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes.
- Liaise and collaborate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement Support Center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility.
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory.
- Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in therapeutic area with Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access & Reimbursement; strong territory/account management.
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes and coverage requirements for specialty medicines.
- Leadership track record; ability to communicate coding/billing requirements nationally/regionally.
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A/B/C/D reimbursement dynamics.
- Strong understanding of specialty drug acquisition/dispensing (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging).
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services.
- Understanding of access & reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
- Driving personal or company vehicle/equipment.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities in assigned territory.
