Field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city (Memphis, TN or Little Rock, AR).

Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, access/reimbursement support tools, and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition/access options (e.g., specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution)
- Provide resources to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies, including payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes
- Liaise/collaborate with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support center to update and relay Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers in territory
- Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred (or relevant equivalent experience required)
- 3+ years in a therapeutic area with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access & Reimbursement; strong territory/account management
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes, coverage requirements, and specialty medicine access
- Leadership track record; ability to communicate coding/billing technical requirements nationally/regionally across care settings
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A/B/C/D reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of specialty drug acquisition/dispensing (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging, etc.)
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services; compliant interaction with support centers
- Valid driver’s license; ability to meet safe driving requirements and pass pre-employment drug screening
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities/organizations
