Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM)

What You Will Do
- Manage defined accounts within a specified geographic region for Patient Access and Reimbursement; execute the territory strategic plan.
- Ensure understanding of the reimbursement process, field reimbursement services, and patient support programs.
- Resolve patient-level reimbursement issues requiring knowledge and experience with PHI.
- Act as an extension of the HUB, providing live one-on-one coverage support.
- Assist from physician order to reimbursement through prior authorization to appeals/denials requirements and forms.
- Review patient-specific information for coverage challenges.
- Educate/update HCPs on private/public payer coverage and changes impacting access.
- Coordinate access/reimbursement issues with partners, including the HUB.
- Provide benefit-design coverage information (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
- Serve as payer expert for the geography and promptly communicate payer changes.
- Offer office education using approved materials: formulary/utilization management, insurance forms/procedures, benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeals, and claims resolution.
- Review insurance benefit options and alternate funding/financial assistance programs.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve reimbursement issues.

Working Conditions
- 3 days/week in geography; remote/work from home; 1–2 home office days/week.
- Travel up to 60–80%; valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate OR Master’s + 3 years customer service/leadership OR Bachelor’s + 5 years OR Associate’s + 10 years OR High school/GED + 12 years.
- Experience managing people and/or leading teams/projects/programs/directing allocation/resources.

Minimum Job Qualifications
- 2+ years in third-party access or pharma (managed care, clinical support, and/or sales).
- Strong medical reimbursement/Specialty Pharmacy and Buy & Bill knowledge.
- Presentation/facilitation; strong written/oral communication.
- Project management/organizational skills; manage multiple projects.
- Computer literacy (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and web meeting capability.
- Healthcare experience: insurance verification, claim adjudication, physician offices/clinics, pharmacies, and/or manufacturers.
- Hub experience; billing/coding/appeals knowledge across physician types.
- Collaboration to lead cross-functional partner meetings.
- Experience with commercial, Medicare, and state Medicaid in a geographic region.
- Live in geography or within 10 miles of the border.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in business/healthcare/related.
- 6+ years with specialty/biologic self-injectable (pharmacy benefit) or physician-administered (buy and bill/medical benefit).
- Advanced medical insurance terminology; CMS policies/processes (Medicare Part B/Part D).
- Manage ambiguity/problem-solve; manage expenses within budgets.
