General Summary
- Field-based Field Reimbursement Manager for Vertex’s Kidney Patient Support Program (KPSP), serving as local subject-matter expert to nephrology practices by providing non-promotional access and reimbursement education and troubleshooting to support timely patient access.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Build compliant relationships with nephrology office personnel involved in prior authorization and patient access.
- Partner with case management to resolve escalated access issues using CRM handoffs/workflows.
- Educate offices on copay, PAP, Bridge programs, and other affordability pathways.
- Follow up on case status; ensure offices understand insurance documentation requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of commercial and government coverage requirements and payer trends.
- Deliver compliant on-site/virtual in-services and training on payer policies, formulary updates, PA/medical exceptions (ICD-10, CPT, documentation), and distribution/hub/reimbursement workflows.
- Manage a multistate territory, prioritize accounts, and create territory engagement plans.
- Adhere to strict non-promotional guidelines; maintain patient confidentiality and legal/compliance requirements.

Knowledge And Skills / Qualifications
- Experience with specialty biologics/rare disease or complex pharmacy benefit products.
- Account management experience with HCP offices; ability to navigate payer portals and CRM tools.
- Strong communication/training/relationship-building, analytical skills, and data/reporting use.
- Strategic business/account plan experience and sound judgment.
- Travel 50–70%; Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Salesforce; valid driver’s license; meet credentialing requirements.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (health care/life sciences/business); advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years in sales, reimbursement, market access, specialty pharmacy, patient services, or field-based access roles.
- Deep understanding of benefits investigations, PA processes, appeals, coverage policies, and Medicare/Medicaid/commercial.

Pay And Benefits
- $136,000–$204,000 base; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
- Includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off (including summer/winter shutdown), educational assistance/student loan repayment, commuting subsidy, matching charitable donations, and 401(k).
