General Summary
- Field-based Field Reimbursement Manager for Kidney Patient Support Program (KPSP), serving as local subject matter expert to nephrology practices to provide non-promotional access and reimbursement education and support timely patient access through troubleshooting and payer expertise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Build compliant relationships with nephrology office care and administrative staff for prior authorizations and patient access.
- Partner with case management on escalated access issues; coordinate handoffs using CRM triggers/workflows.
- Educate offices on copay, PAP, Bridge programs, and affordability pathways; ensure timely follow-up and documentation understanding.
- Maintain knowledge of commercial and government prescription insurance requirements, access/payer trends.
- Conduct on-site/virtual in-services and training on payer policies, PA/medical exception criteria, ICD-10/CPT coding and documentation, distribution/hub services, enrollment, and reimbursement workflows.
- Manage a multistate territory, prioritize accounts, develop territory engagement plans, and adapt to office workflows.
- Follow strict non-promotional and privacy/compliance requirements; maintain patient confidentiality.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Experience with specialty biologics/rare disease therapies/complex pharmacy benefit products.
- Account management with HCP offices; ability to navigate payer portals and CRM/field access tools.
- Strong communication/training, analytical skills, and data/reporting usage.
- Strategic planning/account planning experience; sound judgment.
- Travel 50β70% within territory; valid driverβs license; meet credentialing requirements.
- Proficiency: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce CRM.
- Bachelorβs degree (health care/life sciences/business); 5+ years in sales/reimbursement/market access/specialty pharmacy/patient services/field-based access; deep PA/appeals/coverage knowledge; knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/commercial plans.
Compensation/Benefits
- Pay range: $136,000β$204,000; annual bonus and annual equity awards; overtime may apply; medical/dental/vision, paid time off, educational assistance/student loan repayment, commuting subsidy, 401(k), and more.
