This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Territory: Northern IL, Southern IN, and a portion of IA (cities include Chicago, Springfield, Bloomington, Indianapolis, Evansville, Terre Haute).
Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) provides specialized in-office resources to healthcare providers (HCPs) in the territory. Works directly with HCP offices to address patient access and reimbursement inquiries for AbbVie’s immunology portfolio, including expertise on coverage/reimbursement challenges, AbbVie support tools, and education on prescription status, program eligibility, and payer processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs (including bio coordinators/office staff) on patient support programs, access/reimbursement tools, and services.
- Educate on product acquisition options (specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution).
- Provide resources/strategies to address patient access issues.
- Provide localized expertise on national/regional payer policies (coding changes, claims submission methodology).
- Collaborate with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement Support Center on prescription status and program eligibility updates.
- Report payer trends to Patient Services and Market Access account teams.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with providers.
- Maintain knowledge of managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years immunology experience, or access/reimbursement with expertise in market access and payer account management.
- Strong territory/account management, process mastery, customer engagement, strategic mindset, collaboration, and market dynamics.
- Proven leadership record.
- Knowledge of access/reimbursement support service centers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate coding/billing requirements (Medicare Parts A, B, C, D; and related reimbursement dynamics).
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders and lead without authority.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to drive personal or company vehicle; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
