Responsibilities
- Educate HCPs (bio coordinators/office staff) on AbbVie patient support programs, access/reimbursement tools, and services.
- Educate on product acquisition options (specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, bagging).
- Provide resources/strategies to address patient access issues.
- Provide localized expertise on payer policies and utilization management criteria; update on medical billing/coding and claims submission methodology.
- Coordinate with AbbVie Access & Reimbursement Support Center to relay prescription status and program eligibility updates.
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access teams.
- Establish and maintain provider relationships in the assigned territory.
- Maintain knowledge of managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in immunology, or access & reimbursement with expertise in market access and payer account management.
- Expertise in drug acquisition/dispensing in specialty biologics (Buy and Bill, reimbursement analysis, Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors).
- Strong territory and strategic account management; leadership record in current role.
- Functional knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers.
- Excellent oral/written/presentation and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to communicate coding/billing technical requirements across Medicare Parts A, B, C & D.
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services.
- Bachelor’s degree required; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
