Position Summary:
- Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM): Minimize reimbursement and access barriers for patients and providers. Educate HCP offices on coverage, access, and reimbursement criteria, and integrate products into provider workflows. Partner with Market Access, Sales, and Patient Support to address access challenges and support patient access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a compliant SME in reimbursement, access, and specialty distribution for assigned geography.
- Educate HCP offices on coverage status, prior authorization, appeals, and alternate funding options for uninsured/underinsured patients.
- Build and maintain relationships with HCPs, office staff, and health system stakeholders.
- Analyze payer coverage trends, reimbursement criteria, and payer mix.
- Guide customers on specialty pharmacy services and complex distribution channels.
- Partner with Patient Support for accurate benefit investigations and streamlined patient onboarding.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop local access strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and execute territory-level business plans using customer insights.
- Resolve reimbursement issues in the field and escalate cases as needed.
- Identify process improvements to enhance patient access and provider satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in an allied health field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/related healthcare.
- Prior reimbursement experience required: prior authorizations and navigating the US payer landscape.
- 3β6 years supporting specialty pharmaceuticals/biologics.
- Deep understanding of reimbursement, access, and specialty pharmacy operations.
- Experience supporting product launches or insurance approval processes.
- Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy distribution models and patient services programs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other federal/state laws on confidentiality and healthcare communications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desired.
- Proven track record with complex therapies in rare/specialty conditions.
- Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills; ability to build trust.
- Comfort with ambiguity and managing multiple cases.
- Digital fluency with CRM platforms; comfort educating on technology-enabled tools (including AI).
