Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services.
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (e.g., specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution).
- Educate on resources to address access issues.
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payor policies, including payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes.
- Liaise and collaborate with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support centers to update and relay Rx status and program eligibility to HCPs.
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory.
- Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred or relevant/equivalent industry experience required.
- 3+ yearsโ experience in a therapeutic area with Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management and/or Access & Reimbursement; strong territory/account management skills.
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes, coverage requirements, and specialty medicine access.
- Leadership track record; ability to communicate coding/billing technical requirements nationally and regionally across care settings.
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and reimbursement dynamics.
- Strong understanding of specialty drug acquisition and dispensing (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging, etc.).
- Demonstrated understanding of reimbursement support service rules/regulations/risks.
- Strong understanding of access and reimbursement service centers and compliant interaction.
- Valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
- Ability to satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facility entry (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, required state/city licenses).
