The Eye Care Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is an alternative in-office resource available to address HCP questions about patient access and reimbursement for AbbVie Eye Care products. The FRM provides expertise on coverage and common access/reimbursement challenges and educates on AbbVie access and reimbursement support tools.
Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs (access and reimbursement support tools/services)
- Educate on product-specific acquisition/access options (specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on payer policies (coding changes and appropriate claims submission)
- Liaise/collaborate with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain provider relationships within territory
- Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ yearsโ experience in therapeutic area with Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access & Reimbursement; strong territory/account management skills
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes and specialty medicine access/coverage
- Ability to communicate technical coding/billing requirements nationally/regionally
- Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement dynamics (Parts A, B, C, D)
- Knowledge of drug acquisition/dispensing (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging, etc.)
- Understanding of reimbursement support rules/regulations/risks
- Understanding of access/reimbursement support service centers and compliant interactions
- Valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements; ability to drive personal auto/company vehicle
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to access assigned facilities/organizations
