This role is field-based covering the Southern California territory. Candidates may live in Los Angeles, CA; Irvine, CA; or San Diego, CA.

The Parkinson’s Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is an alternative in-office resource to address HCP questions about patient access and reimbursement for Duopa and Vyalev. The FRM provides expertise on coverage and common access/reimbursement challenges, educates on access and reimbursement support tools, advises HCPs on patient prescription status and program eligibility, and educates HCP offices on payer processes and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition/access options (specialty pharmacy networks; specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payor policies (payer issues, coding changes, appropriate claims submission)
- Liaise with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in Neuroscience with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Thorough understanding of payer policy processes/systems/requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks related to providing reimbursement support services
- Ability to communicate coding and billing requirements at the National and Regional level across settings of care
- Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C, and D or Medicare reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition/dispensing in Neuroscience (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging)
- Strong understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction
- Excellent territory and account management skills
- Bachelor’s degree and/or valid driver’s license
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities/organizations in assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and specific state/city licenses)
