Field Reimbursement Manager, Advanced Parkinson's

Field-based Parkinson’s Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) (candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city; talent hired at a level commensurate with experience). Candidates may live in Indianapolis, IN; St Louis, MO; Louisville, KY; or Lexington, KY.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an alternative in-office resource for HCP questions about patient access and reimbursement for Duopa and Vyalev
- Call directly on HCP offices in assigned geography to answer access & reimbursement questions
- Provide expertise on coverage and common access/reimbursement challenges affecting Duopa and Vyalev
- Educate HCPs on access and reimbursement support tools/services and patient support programs
- Educate on product-specific acquisition/access options (e.g., specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payor policies (payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission)
- Liaise with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers in territory
- Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years’ experience in rare disease with Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services
- Thorough understanding of technical payer policy processes/systems for specialty medicine coverage, coding, and payment
- Ability to communicate national/regional coding and billing requirements across settings of care
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A/B/C/D and reimbursement dynamics
- Knowledge of rare disease drug acquisition/dispensing (e.g., Part B DME, Buy and Bill, specialty pharmacies/distributors)
- Knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction
- Excellent territory and account management skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Drive personal auto/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment; valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry to facilities/organizations in territory
