Field Reimbursement Manager, Advanced Parkinson's

This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (e.g., specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payor policies, including payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes
- Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in rare disease with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Demonstrated understanding of the rules/regulations/risks for providing reimbursement support services
- Thorough understanding of technical payer policy processes, systems, and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines
- Ability to communicate coding and billing requirements at the national and regional level across care settings
- Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C and D (or Medicare) and associated reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition/dispensing in rare disease (e.g., Part B DME, Buy and Bill, specialty pharmacies/distributors)
- Strong understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction
- Excellent territory and account management skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Driving a personal auto or company car/truck (or powered material handling equipment)
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
- Satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain facility entry (responsible for meeting requirements)
