Field Reimbursement Manager, Advanced Parkinson’s

Specific Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options such as specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies, including payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes
- Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in rare disease with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Demonstrated understanding of the rules, regulations, and risks related to reimbursement support services
- Thorough understanding of technical payer policy processes, systems, and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines
- Strong ability to communicate technical coding and billing requirements at the National and Regional level across care settings
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and associated reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing in rare disease (e.g., Part B DME, Buy and Bill, Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors)
- Strong understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction
- Excellent territory and account management skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Driving a personal or company vehicle (or powered material handling equipment) and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; valid driver’s license
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain facility access (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses)
