The Parkinson’s Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) provides in-office support by calling on HCP offices to address patient access and reimbursement questions for Duopa and Vyalev. Provides expertise on coverage and common access/reimbursement challenges. Educates on AbbVie access and reimbursement support tools, advises HCPs on patient prescription status and program eligibility, and educates HCP offices on payer processes and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition/access options (specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies (payer issues, coding changes, claims submission)
- Liaise with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

Qualifications / Skills:
- At least 3 years’ experience in rare disease with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks related to reimbursement support services
- Thorough understanding of technical payer policy processes, systems, and requirements for specialty medicine coverage, coding, and payment
- Ability to communicate coding/billing technical elements nationally and regionally across care settings
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C and D and associated reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing in rare disease (Part B DME, Buy and Bill, Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors, etc.)
- Strong understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction
- Excellent territory and account management skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to drive (personal auto/company car or powered material handling equipment)
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities in assigned territory
