Field Reimbursement Manager, Advanced Parkinson's

Parkinson’s Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) provides an alternative in-office resource for HCP questions about patient access and reimbursement for Duopa and Vyalev. Calls on HCP offices in assigned geography to provide expertise on coverage and common access/reimbursement challenges.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools/services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies (payer issues, coding changes, appropriate claims submission)
- Liaise with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years’ experience in rare disease with Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services
- Technical payer policy knowledge for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines
- Ability to communicate coding/billing technical requirements nationally and regionally across care settings
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and associated reimbursement dynamics
- Understanding of drug acquisition/dispensing in rare disease (e.g., Part B DME, Buy and Bill, Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors)
- Understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers; compliant interaction
- Excellent territory and account management skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to drive (personal auto/company car or truck, or powered material handling equipment)
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities/organizations in assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses); responsible for meeting requirements
