This role is field-based covering the Southern California territory. Candidates may live in:
- Los Angeles, CA
- Irvine, CA
- San Diego, CA

The Parkinson’s Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is an in-office alternative resource available to address HCP questions about patient access and reimbursement in support of Duopa and Vyalev.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs (access and reimbursement tools/services)
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies (payer issues, coding changes, appropriate claims submission)
- Liaise with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in Neuroscience with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Thorough understanding of payer policy processes/systems for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for providing reimbursement support services
- Ability to communicate technical coding and billing requirements nationally/regionally across settings of care
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C and D reimbursement dynamics
- Understanding of drug acquisition/dispensing in neuroscience (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging)
- Strong access and reimbursement support service center knowledge and compliant interaction
- Excellent territory and account management skills
- Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license
- Ability to satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses)
