Role Summary

The Field Director, Neuroscience Key Accounts is a field-based leadership role responsible for leading and developing a team of Key Account Managers to execute on strategic imperatives for key neuroscience accounts and engage key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem. This position oversees strategy development, resource coordination, and partnerships with accounts to embed the J&J Neuroscience portfolio while pursuing near- and long-term opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically lead a diverse team of Key Account Managers delivering for customers across multi-site, integrated delivery networks, local managing entities, and academic centers, focusing on Population Health Decision Makers, KOLs, and evolving stakeholders to support the portfolio.
  • Create a high-performance environment with accountability, inclusion, empowerment, and teamwork; promote positive change and innovative thinking aligned with company standards.
  • Oversee the build, co-creation, and implementation of solutions and customer integrations; provide direction, coaching, and support to advance partnerships with Key Accounts.
  • Oversee Account Manager work and collaborate on strategy development including education, interventions, and pull-through.
  • Lead development and execution of aligned customer account plans to embed the portfolio within Key Accounts and engage the healthcare ecosystem for near- and long-term opportunities.
  • Oversee and lead Account Managers in executing potential new product launches in high-science, complex neuroscience areas.
  • Identify and coordinate resources, monitor operating expenses, and maintain key relationships to achieve growth and profitability; lead the team to meet or exceed goals.
  • Elevate the account management team to a high-performance, outcomes-focused organization that values diversity and inclusion and evolves with future needs.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership by influence, collaboration across teams, and solid business acumen with the ability to act on market insights.

Qualifications

  • Required: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Preferred: A Master’s Degree in a related field or an MBA is preferred
  • Required: A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience with at least five (5) years in cross-functional key commercial roles (Sales and Sales Management or Marketing/Market Access) within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or healthcare industry
  • Required: Experience in people leadership
  • Preferred: Sales leadership
  • Preferred: Experience in Neuroscience
  • Preferred: Account Management/Sales expertise with deep understanding of key regional stakeholders
  • Required: Ability to travel up to 50% (which may include overnights and weekends)
