Role Summary
The Field Director, Neuroscience Key Accounts is a field-based leadership role responsible for leading and developing a team of Key Account Managers to execute on strategic imperatives for key accounts and to engage stakeholders within the healthcare ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Strategically lead a diverse team of Key Account Managers that deliver for customers across multi-site networks and academic centers, focusing on Population Health Decision Makers, KOLs, and evolving healthcare stakeholders to support the J&J Neuroscience portfolio.
- Create a high-performance work environment with accountability, inclusion, empowerment, and teamwork while championing positive change and encouraging innovative ideas within company standards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of solutions and customer integrations; provide direction, coaching, and support to advance partnerships with Key Accounts.
- Oversee Account Manager work and collaborate on strategy development including education, interventions, and pull-through.
- Lead the team’s development and execution of aligned customer account plans to embed the portfolio within Key Accounts and engage the healthcare ecosystem for near- and long-term partnerships.
- Oversee and guide Account Managers in executing potential new product launches in high-science, complex Neuroscience areas.
- Identify resources, monitor operating expenses, maintain key relationships, and drive growth and profitability targets; lead the team to meet and exceed goals.
- Elevate the account management team to a high-performance, outcomes-focused organization that values diversity and inclusion and evolves with future needs.
- Demonstrate influence across teams and functions with strong business acumen and analytical capability based on market insights.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
- A Master’s Degree in a related field or an MBA is preferred
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience with at least five (5) years of cross-functional experience in key commercial roles (Sales/ Sales Management or Marketing/ Market Access) within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare industry
- Experience in people leadership is required
- Sales leadership strongly preferred
- Experience in Neuroscience is preferred
- Account Management and/or Sales expertise with deep understanding of key stakeholders in the region is strongly preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50% (overnights/weekends) in support of the business
