Role Summary

The Field Application Scientist at Advanced Cell Diagnostics plays a critical role in serving as the primary customer contact for application and service-related issues and provides expert technical support and guidance on the operation, optimization, and maintenance of Advanced Cell Diagnostics product lines. The role ensures a high-quality customer experience through training, troubleshooting, and collaborative scientific consultation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide application assistance, product training and system troubleshooting via phone, email, virtual, and on-site visits.
  • Organize, schedule and conduct product demonstrations for potential clients.
  • Support new and existing users with experimental design, optimization, execution, and basic data acquisition.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including protocols, application notes, presentations, and user guides as needed.
  • Accurately maintain case records, activities, and communication documentation in the CRM system.
  • Attend and participate in internal technical discussions with immediate team and R&D partners.
  • Participate in beta testing, and early-access projects as assigned.
  • Active liaison role with Sales, Marketing and R&D groups.
  • Represent the company at scientific conferences, workshops, webinars, and customer facing events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of laboratory experience with experimental design, cell and molecular techniques.
  • Prior customer-facing experience in technical support or field applications is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with the company’s relevant technologies, instruments, or workflow areas is beneficial.

Education

  • BS in molecular biology or biochemistry or similar discipline with laboratory work as a key component
  • Advanced degree preferred

Skills

  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with common molecular and cellular research techniques
  • Preference for experience in pathology, histology and tissue analysis, including preparation of tissues and reagents for IHC, ISH, Imaging
  • Strong attention to details, efficient, and an effective team player
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and training skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for varied audiences
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
  • Committed to total customer satisfaction with outstanding interpersonal skills and professionalism

Additional Requirements

  • Fully remote work with maintenance of a home office in between travel
  • Ability to travel 30–50% of time depending on region covered
  • Work may involve time in laboratories, customer facilities, and instrument environments
  • Physical ability to stand, sit or work at the bench for extended periods; ability to lift up to 25 lbs for equipment transport or installation as needed
