Field Application Scientist (Commercial)
How you will make an impact:
- Partner with Business Development and Commercial teams to provide scientific/technical support for customer opportunities, custom solutions, and pre- and post-sales activities.
- Develop scientific recommendations for guide RNA (gRNA), oligonucleotide, mRNA, custom manufacturing, analytical testing, and phase-appropriate GMP services based on customer requirements and product capabilities.
- Serve as a scientific resource by addressing technical questions, troubleshooting applications, and providing guidance on TriLink technologies, products, and services.
- Assess customer requirements and collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Commercial to evaluate technical feasibility and solution approaches.
- Represent TriLink through customer meetings and technical presentations (webinars, workshops, conferences), communicating clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Capture and communicate Voice of the Customer (VOC), emerging applications, scientific literature, and market trends.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and other customer-facing technical documentation.
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Genomics, or related field (0β2 years); or Bachelorβs (8+ years) or Masterβs (6+ years); or equivalent combination.
- Hands-on knowledge in gRNA, oligonucleotide synthesis, mRNA technologies, nucleic acid therapeutics, molecular biology, or related applications.
- Experience supporting scientific product development, custom manufacturing, analytical testing, process development, GMP services, quality, or related technical functions.
- Ability to assess requirements, analyze scientific info, troubleshoot, and develop practical customer-focused recommendations.
- Strong consultative/scientific communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of clinical development, CMC, GMP, or regulatory considerations for nucleic acid therapeutics (desirable).
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally (BD/Commercial/PM/R&D/Manufacturing/Quality).
- Travel up to 30%.
