Field Access Manager (FAM) β Plasma-Immunology Patient Access (East)
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Optimize Patient Access: Navigate reimbursement and access challenges to ensure timely access to Takeda therapies.
- Proactive Education and Support: Provide tailored field-based education on reimbursement processes to key accounts (provider groups, hospitals, academic institutions, specialty pharmacies, and other stakeholders) and anticipate/address access challenges.
- Strategic Partnership: Build and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations to identify and resolve reimbursement/access issues to support therapy initiation and continuation.
- Enhance Team Capabilities: Educate and support internal teams with knowledge/tools for complex reimbursement and access scenarios.
- Adaptability and Insight: Monitor healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory requirements to address challenges and opportunities.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelorβs Degree.
- 5+ years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs.
- Strong knowledge of reimbursement landscape and practice management environment.
- Proven ability to develop and execute account-based strategies to drive access outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in account management, relationship development, and issue resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
Desired:
- 5+ years in reimbursement roles in pharmaceutical/biotech/rare disease.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, or market access.
- Familiarity with buy-and-bill and pharmacy models.
- Experience with specialty/high-cost therapies in chronic or acute care settings.
Location and Travel Requirements
- Field-based; up to 75% travel.
- Must live in territory; ability to drive/fly to meetings.
- Clean and valid driverβs license.
