Field Access Lead (FAL) β Remote (Field Based)
Role Responsibilities
- Patient Access: Identify pathways to higher patient access for Pfizer approved therapies and address access/reimbursement challenges in a defined territory.
- Navigate multi-specialty practices, health systems, and IDNs; influence access through key personnel responsible for patient access, coding, billing & reimbursement.
- Anticipate healthcare changes and coordinate education on payer coverage, prior authorization/utilization management, medical exceptions, documentation/appeals, new-to-market access requirements, HUB/affordability programs, and patient case management.
- Account Management: Manage proactive accounts and reactive escalations; analyze local insurance environment; develop strategic actionable support plans to increase access.
- Business & People Leadership: Align internal stakeholders/decision makers; collaborate across US Market Access, sales, HUB partner, KAD/HSSS/Medical teams; develop and execute integrated account team (IAT) business plans; share local market insights and scale access trends; lead/monitor education and access initiatives.
Qualifications (Required)
- 7+ years pharmaceutical industry experience (pharma sales and/or coding; access and reimbursement).
- B.S. or B.A. degree.
- Strong specialty drug reimbursement and government payment systems knowledge; co-pay assistance programs; understanding of payer policy dynamics.
- Exceptional communication/presentation, strategic planning, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work in a highly regulated environment with compliance adherence.
- Valid US driverβs license.
- Thorough understanding of payer policy processes and technical prescription approval elements.
Preferred
- Reimbursement/access experience.
- Additional coding/reimbursement certification (or coding/billing knowledge).
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Base salary range: $139,100β$231,900; bonus target 17.5% plus long-term incentive eligibility; includes 401(k), paid time off, caregiver/parental and medical leave, and medical/dental/vision.
