Title: Federal Account Director (Field-based Remote)

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute federal access strategies within assigned VISN and VA Hospital accounts to optimize patient access and appropriate utilization.
- Ensure compliant application of the VA National Formulary and Criteria for Use (CFU) at the site level.
- Deliver cross-functional education to stakeholders (site administrators, department chairs, healthcare professionals) including disease-state, clinical information, and therapy administration requirements.
- Analyze account data, trends, and utilization metrics to identify pull-through opportunities.
- Collaborate with field sales and Regional Business Directors to implement pull-through tactics and support sales performance.
- Develop and execute account plans; share insights and best practices.
- Support federal market development initiatives (e.g., AMSUS engagement).
- Provide federal payer and account insights to market access, HEOR, patient services, and leadership.

Accountabilities:
- Build and maintain multi-level relationships across VISNs, VA Hospitals, and related DoD entities.
- Navigate provider structures to engage decision-makers, influencers, and clinical stakeholders.
- Prioritize account activities to ensure consistent, compliant implementation of national formulary and CFU.
- Collaborate with internal experts (Medical Affairs, national contracting, policy teams) to support access positioning and medical policy alignment.
- Train and equip field sales on federal payer dynamics, formulary processes, CFU requirements, and reimbursement for HCP-administered therapies.
- Maintain compliance with legal/regulatory/company policies.
- Document best practices, participate in training, and support pilot programs/initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (business or science preferred); MBA or PharmD a plus.
- 7+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience; 3+ years in account management, payer access, or related roles.
- Direct experience in VA/DoD or federal channels preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex accounts and influence stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of federal healthcare systems: VA National Formulary, CFU, VISN dynamics, procurement for HCP-administered therapies, medical benefit coverage, utilization management, site-of-care strategies, and reimbursement pathways.
- Strong analytical and consultative stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication/presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Travel/Reports:
- Field-based remote; up to 50–70% travel; reports to Senior Director, Federal Accounts.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- U.S. pay range: $211,500.00 - $286,100.00.
- Eligible for annual short-term incentive (bonus/sales incentive) and annual long-term incentive (equity).
