Position Summary:
Provide expert field-based patient education and support for the Rett community as a dedicated point of contact for on-label, clinical education questions. Help patients start and stay on therapy.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide disease state, product, and therapy management education (in-person, telephonic, virtual) for patients/caregivers/care teams.
- Assess individual patient and caregiver needs and deliver ongoing education/resources across the care journey.
- Support the assigned territory and collaborate with internal cross-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Patient Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, etc.), potentially across multiple states.
- Share expert disease/product knowledge and insights to internal stakeholders to develop tools/resources addressing educational gaps.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Acadia Customer Support Programs (e.g., hub and patient assistance).
- Moderate/lead caregiver speaker programs; attend community events.
- Reactively provide physician office in-services about the role, resources, and pre-/post-enrollment.
- Identify and execute leadership opportunities; mentor/support new team members; identify training/development opportunities.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required (life sciences preferred). RN/MSN/MBA a plus.
- Family Support Educator: 5+ years healthcare/pharma experience; 2+ years patient support/education. Equivalent clinical experience acceptable.
- Senior Family Support Educator: 8+ years healthcare/pharma; 5+ years patient support/education.
- Rare disease, product launch, advocacy, Medicaid/Medicare expertise strongly preferred.

Key Skills (required/preferred):
- Rare disease; patient/caregiver education; account management; advocacy (preferred).
- Strong cross-functional collaboration; lead without authority; patient-centric, empathetic listening.
- HIPAA knowledge; strong written/verbal/presentation skills; Microsoft Office.
- Travel up to 70%; ability to meet vaccination requirements for in-person activities.

Salary (listed):
- Family Support Educator: $124,000–$155,000; Sr. Family Support Educator: $136,000–$170,000.
