Facilities Technician (electrical experience w/Journeyman Electrician license required) Summary: A Facilities Technician is responsible for maintenance requests related to the plant electrical systems and/or will conduct preventive and predictive inspections on the plant systems as requested by supervisor. This role requires the ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of the process and utility equipment. The Facilities Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager. This role requires full-time, on-site presence five days per week. Candidates must be available for on-call support outside typical business hours. Future shift-based scheduling may be introduced, and flexibility to work designated shifts will be expected. Responsibilities: Develop detailed electrical scope of work. Perform sensitive electrical installations or modifications such as: Components installation / replacing or programming. Perform Job risk analysis. Perform sensitive electrical troubleshooting such as VFD abnormal conditions, electrical switchgear operations, emergency generator operations, and UPS systems. Coordinate critical internal electrical works with outside contractors. Responsible to evaluate, to interpret, to recommend and to take actions related to technical reports submitted by electrical contractors. Able to understand and perform protection relays calibrations or adjustments if required by the supervisor. Operate in a safely, accurate and reliable manner the emergency electrical distribution control system. Able to train and assist other technical personnel in the operation and maintenance of the electrical distribution system. Other Mechanical Duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience within a GMP biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. State of Maryland Journeyman Electricians license. Strong understanding of GMP regulations, FDA guidelines, and industry best practices related to equipment maintenance and reliability. Excellent communication skills and experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance-related documentation in a regulated environment. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to facility and equipment maintenance. Preferred Qualifications: State of Maryland required licenses/certifications. Experience with risk-based maintenance approaches and reliability-centered maintenance practices. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies. State of Maryland Master Electrician License. The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $71,749 to $107,882. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
