Role Summary
Purified water technicians are responsible to maintain all of the facility purified water systems in good working condition, including adding and adjusting chemical levels, making online adjustments, verifying that the system in general is producing water within current USP specifications and recording and filling the critical parameters of the plant. Maintaining the GMP documents.
Responsibilities
- Day to day Operation & Maintenance of all purified water Generation, storage and Distribution system of the plant. Support micro department for water sampling as & when require.
- Replenishes chemicals into auto dosing tanks as needed adjust chemical levels removes and cleans chemical holding tanks every 72 hours
- Mop the floor of the room everyday. Clean and wipe down the entire system every day
- Prepares chemicals: (anti-scaling, SMBS, & NAOH); empty storage tank and refill it, Empty transfer tank and refill it
- Communicate any out of specification issue to supervisor and inform all the end user department & Perform Sanitization of the system as per schedule / as needed.
- Checks alarm screens for warnings and/ or issues, if any, they attend to issues immediately, Checks and logs all Readings.
- Checks printed reports for any issues and attends to them immediately.
- Ensure that all needed supplies/ critical spare of the systems are in stock and available including but not limited to dosing chemicals, Paper for printer, ETC.
Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED - Required
- Experience: 2 years or more in Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Purified water system experience.
Skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly any changes in status of the system, write clearly to record readings of the system, and keep an inventory of chemicals and other supplies are well stocked. Collaborate with purchasing to ensure all items are readily available when needed. - Intermediate
Specialized Knowledge
- Purified water plant operations knowledge of Current USP water standards
