Role Summary

Facilities Engineering Technician to join our team. Youโ€šร„รดll drive impactful projects, collaborate with bright minds, and explore uncharted territories, with a focus on problem solving and continuous learning in a cGMP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Based in Seattle, WA; travel to Redmond, WA site once a week maximum.
  • Perform equipment rounds and readings to collect and review relevant operational data.
  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance according to SOPs and scheduling.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of equipment issues including mechanical, electrical, metrology/instrumentation, or automation as needed.
  • Manage gas delivery systems and LN2 cryovessel systems.
  • Support equipment IQ/OQ/PQ Validation activities.
  • Assist and direct contractor/vendor activities as assigned.
  • Familiarity with Change Control, Site and Global SOPs related to position and department.
  • Procedural revision of SOPs, HECPs, and JHAs as necessary.
  • Adhere to EH&S guidelines and policies to ensure compliance with WA state, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain mandatory training requirements, ensuring compliance to site and job qualifications.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a cGMP-related environment (combination of education, training, and experience).
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, BAS, DeltaV, MAXIMO) to navigate, search, and document work.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical qualifications and relevant regulations (FDA, OSHA, EH&S, EPA, WA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in engineering or engineering technology (desired but not required).
  • Electrical or refrigeration license.
  • Metrology/Calibration program expertise.
  • Mechanical ability/expertise.
  • Operation and troubleshooting skills on Water for Injection Systems (WFI) and plant utilities.
  • Troubleshooting skills on washers and autoclaves.
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance technologies and Mechanical Integrity programs.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and contractors.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.

Education

  • Not required if experience suffices; preferred: Associate degree in engineering or engineering technology.

Additional Requirements

  • Working environment may include cold/wet conditions, exposure to dust, gases, and fumes; potential for moving equipment and hearing protection requirements.
  • Weekend and holiday work may be required; overtime may be necessary.
