The Position
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the establishment of all black utilities systems for the DAPI-US facility. Responsibilities include:
- Write/review specifications; conduct design reviews
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and qualifications
- Develop SOPs; develop maintenance activities and provide training
- Manage cost, quality, and schedule within area of responsibility
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal/external engineering teams and stakeholders
- Ensure all activities align with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program requirements

Essential Functions:
- Create and maintain system specifications for black utilities
- Support design, installation, commissioning, qualification, and training for black utilities
- Provide additional technical support to the project team as required
- Adhere to quality and environmental regulations
- Support technical development of Facilities Technicians after handover to LOB
- Drive continuous process improvement using cLEAN concepts
- Maintain and establish standards for procedures and maintenance plans

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering (or equivalent education/experience) (required)
- 5–8+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing facility (preferred)
- Knowledge/experience in operations, maintenance, and design of cGMP utilities in regulated environments (FDA, cGMP, OSHA) (preferred)
- Knowledge of black utilities: chilled water, plant steam, compressed air, vacuum, wastewater management (required)
- Knowledge of clean utilities: process water, clean steam, process air, vacuum, cryogenic storage (a plus)
- Ability to read/review CAD drawings with basic understanding of P&ID, HVAC, and Electrical systems (preferred)
- Understanding of URS, SAT, FAT, and validation protocols (preferred)
