Role: Senior scientist in Gene Therapy Analytical Development Chemistry, focusing on designing and executing complex analytical studies to support gene therapy product development. Responsibilities: develop, optimize, qualify, and transfer analytical methods for characterization, process development, and stability; troubleshoot analytical challenges; perform characterization using chromatography (LC), capillary electrophoresis (CE), and biophysical techniques; author technical reports and regulatory documents; contribute to continuous improvement and evaluate emerging technologies; mentor junior scientists while ensuring GMP and data integrity compliance. Requirements: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 3+ years (PhD), 4+ years (MS), or 5+ years (BS) industry experience; expertise in analytical chemistry, protein/nucleic acid analysis, and biologics, viral vectors, or gene therapy products; hands-on experience with platforms such as HPLC/UPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, SEC-MALS, AUC, mass spectrometry; strong scientific, technical writing, and communication skills. Preferred: experience with AAV/lentiviral vectors, method validation, GMP documentation. High-Value: gene therapy (AAV, lentiviral), biologics/viral vector characterization, GMP environment, cross-functional collaboration, onsite East Hanover location.
