Role: Executive Medical Director, Early Clinical Development in Aesthetic Medicine, leading translational efforts from discovery to early clinical testing. Responsibilities: develop and refine therapeutic hypotheses for skin, facial, and body aesthetics; design and oversee early clinical trials integrating translational endpoints and biomarkers; collaborate across functions (discovery, clinical, regulatory); evaluate external opportunities; influence portfolio strategy; establish external scientific relationships; support regulatory interactions; mentor teams; operate as a culture-shaping leader. Requirements: MD or DO with board eligibility/certification in Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, or related; minimum 5 years industry experience in early clinical development, with experience in aesthetic indications, biomarker development, and clinical trial design. Preferred: PhD in Skin Biology, Regenerative Medicine, or Pharmacology; track record in translational medicine, regulatory strategy, and external scientific engagement; experience with biologics, injectables, devices, or regenerative therapies. HighValue: focus on aesthetic dermatology, early-phase (FIH to proof-of-concept), biomarker strategies, regulatory interactions, matrix leadership, and external scientific visibility. Location: Boston, San Diego, San Francisco, Indianapolis; travel 10-15%. Reporting to: Head of Early Clinical Development, Immunology & Aesthetic Medicine.
