Executive Medial Director/Sr. Scientific Director, Medical Affairs, Precision Medicine (Oncology) — lead US CDx strategy in oncology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver a comprehensive, US-focused medical strategy for upcoming CDx launches, overseeing execution of key deliverables.
- Develop and implement the medical affairs strategy for upcoming CDx launches.
- Build and maintain external relationships with diagnostic partners, academic/community labs, and reference labs.
- Cultivate relationships with expert pathologists and key opinion leaders.
- Partner with pathology societies and develop EQA/PT programs.
- Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional Oncology Precision Medicine teams.
- Serve as the medical affairs lead on the integrated brand team and medical affairs team.
- Develop and execute a biomarker and CDx evidence generation plan with precision medicine, HEOR, and TA teams.
- Execute CDx-aligned functional deliverables, including:
- Evidence generation to address biomarker/testing gaps.
- Medical review of scientific publications.
- Educational initiatives (internal and external) on biomarkers and testing.
- Review of medical promotional materials for biomarker/testing content.
- Collaborate with Value & Evidence teams on guideline strategies.
- Insight generation via advisory boards and engagements with external experts.
- Develop/implement a congress strategy for pathologists (EE engagements and digital initiatives).
- Support oncology congresses with biomarker/testing materials (with TA team).
Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) required.
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or relevant field; substantial knowledge of oncology or precision medicine.
- Strong leadership: influence without authority, prioritization, coaching/mentoring, conflict resolution.
- Experience with companion or complementary diagnostics (ideally oncology).
- Experience working with testing landscape stakeholders (diagnostic partners, academic/community pathologists, precision medicine oncologists, reference labs).
- Prior Medical Affairs experience in a diagnostic company, reference lab, or other pharma functions desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
