Role: Executive Medical Director, Clinical Development, leading Vertex's immunology pipeline focusing on povetacicept, a TACI-Fc fusion protein targeting autoimmune indications. Objectives include shaping clinical strategy, overseeing global Phase 1-4 trials, and integrating insights across Research, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and other functions. Responsibilities encompass clinical program oversight, protocol development, safety review, regulatory interactions, and team leadership. Requirements: 15+ years in pharma/biotech with extensive clinical trial design and management experience, particularly in immunology or rheumatology; board certification in relevant specialty; proven record with global regulatory agencies and filing INDs/NDAs; strong leadership and communication skills; experience in biostatistics, data management, and clinical pharmacology. Preferred: immunology expertise, international regulatory experience, and prior management of cross-functional teams.
