Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update a holistic Therapeutic Area (TA) strategy for Oncology & Hematology, supporting sustainable growth in short-, mid-, and long-term horizons.
- Apply deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and Oncology/Hematology disease areas to identify differentiating competitive advantages.
- Provide key early-phase commercial insights to R&D project teams (US in-market experience is critical).
- Analyze reports and publications to extract key messages and build product forecasts.
- Deliver TA-specific strategic external insights to identify growth opportunities, emerging competitive challenges, and third-party views on key strategic levers; commission targeted primary research.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PhD, MD, or other) and/or equivalent life science/healthcare experience; MBA or consulting experience highly preferred.
- In-depth TA knowledge and/or a track record to acquire Oncology and/or Hematology expertise effectively and rapidly.
- Ability to support multiple strategic DAs within a TA and multiple internal/external programs.
- Substantial experience evaluating new product opportunities (M&A, BD&L, and internal research programs).
- 7–10 years industry pharma and/or medical devices experience in R&D and/or commercial functions, including conducting/commissioning/analyzing primary research.
- Experience developing strategy and shaping assets early in lifecycle.
- Recent (post-2015) local US in-market experience working with US customers and US healthcare systems.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Salary expected: $248,500–$461,500 USD/year; performance-based cash incentive; potential annual equity awards; comprehensive benefits package including health/life/disability, 401(k) match, and time off.
