Key Responsibilities:
- Support development and updates of a holistic Novartis Therapeutic Area (TA) strategy for Oncology & Hematology, aiming for sustainable growth short-, mid-, and long-term.
- Apply deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and Oncology/Hematology disease and TA areas to identify differentiating competitive advantages.
- Provide early-phase program teams with key commercial insights; in-market US experience is critical.
- Analyze reports and publications, including building product forecasts.
- Develop and deliver TA-specific strategic external insights to identify growth opportunities and emerging competitive challenges; create third-party views around key strategic levers; commission targeted primary research.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or other advanced university degree) and/or equivalent life science/healthcare experience; MBA or consulting experience highly preferred.
- In-depth TA knowledge (or demonstrated ability to acquire it rapidly) in Oncology and/or Hematology.
- Highly agile; able to support multiple strategic disease areas within a TA and multiple internal and external programs.
- Substantial experience evaluating new product opportunities via M&A, BD&L, and internal research programs.
- 7–10 years industry pharma and/or medical devices experience across R&D and/or commercial functions, including conducting, commissioning, and analyzing primary research.
- Experience in strategy development and asset shaping early in lifecycle.
- Recent (post-2015) local US in-market experience working within the US market with US customers and healthcare systems.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary expected between $248,500 and $461,500 USD/year; performance-based cash incentive; eligibility for annual equity awards (depending on level).
