Executive Director, Technical Operations

Role: Executive Director, Technical Operations, leading CMC and manufacturing strategy for Agenus's immuno-oncology biologics pipeline, including botensilimab and balstilimab. Responsibilities: provide strategic and technical leadership across process development, analytical development, formulation, drug substance, and drug product; oversee external CDMO partnerships; ensure alignment with clinical, regulatory, and commercial goals; manage process scale-up, tech transfer, validation, and manufacturing readiness; support regulatory submissions and compliance; drive process improvements; develop budgets and resource plans; communicate with senior leadership and mentor teams. Qualifications: BS/MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field; 12+ years in biotech/pharma, with significant biologics development and manufacturing experience; proven experience managing CDMOs and cross-functional teams; knowledge of GMP, ICH, FDA, EMA regulations; experience supporting late-stage clinical development and commercialization, ideally in antibody or immuno-oncology areas. Preferred: experience with antibody biologics, process characterization, validation, and global manufacturing networks.
