Position Summary:
The Executive Director, Statistical Programming will lead the Statistical Programming function within the Biometrics Department, identify programming demands and resource needs, and provide hands-on support for clinical study programming and validation. Coordinate with vendors, statisticians, and other business functions to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Statistical Programming within Biometrics.
- Provide strategic leadership for statistical programming across all clinical development projects.
- Ensure programming deliverables support analysis and reporting (datasets, tables, figures, listings, ISS/ISE, DSUR/PSUR, IB, progress reports, electronic submissions, and regulatory/publication responses).
- Lead and review CRFs, clinical DB specifications, SAP, dataset specs, validation plans, and TLFs.
- Ensure quality of programming deliverables.
- Develop/maintain programming SOPs, standards, and specification documents.
- Ensure systems/processes are up to date (scalability, connectivity, security) with IT/QA.
- Manage/oversee CROs/contractors; conduct vendor qualifications and GCP audits (with QA).
- Apply programming methodologies and develop/maintain analysis/reporting applications.
- Manage programmers; train and coach.
- Represent Biometrics in cross-functional initiatives.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field (Masterโ€™s preferred).
- 14+ years clinical SAS programming (Phase I-IV) in pharma/CRO; 7+ years in leadership/management.

Skills/Requirements:
- SAS (ODS, SQL, MACRO, STAT, GRAPH, ACCESS) and MS Office; R a plus.
- SDTM, ADaM, Define.XML.
- Drug development/submission and regulatory requirements (CDISC/CDASH/eCTD; ICH/CHMP/FDA/GCP).
- UNIX/Windows; strong software SDLC knowledge.
- Ability to travel ~10% and work onsite in San Diego (not 100% remote).
