Executive Director, Research – Integrative Sciences — Cardiovascular

Role: Senior leader in Integrative Sciences focused on external cardiovascular innovation, serving as a key interface across Research, Early Development, Business Development, and external partners. Objectives include sourcing and advancing high-value cardiovascular and cardiometabolic opportunities, including collaborations, biotech partnerships, and pre-IND/IND assets, to complement internal pipelines. Responsibilities encompass strategy development, opportunity triage, cross-functional diligence, designing and executing external innovation collaborations, and representing the organization externally. The role involves leadership in governance, communication, and partnership management. Qualifications: PhD or equivalent in cardiovascular biology, 10+ years in drug discovery or early development with deep expertise in cardiovascular and cardiometabolic diseases, and proven ability to evaluate external opportunities and negotiate collaborations. Preferred skills include track record of progressing programs to IND or beyond, cross-functional experience across R&D and business units, and knowledge of legal and geographic considerations in collaborations.
