Job Summary
The Sr/Executive Director of Facilities will oversee the management and maintenance of Liquidiaโs manufacturing and office facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring all facilities operate efficiently, safely, and comply with regulatory standards. The Sr/Executive Director of Facilities will lead a team of facility managers and maintenance staff to maintain the highest standards of operation. The role will report to the Sr. Vice President of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Facility Management: Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all manufacturing facilities, ensuring they function optimally and safely.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with industry regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA, OSHA, and other relevant standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of facility managers and maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Budgeting and Planning: Develop and manage budgets for facility operations and maintenance, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Design and Construction Oversight: Supervise design and construction projects, ensuring they meet company specifications, regulatory requirements, and are completed on schedule.
- Project Management: Oversee facility renovation, expansion, and improvement projects, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to ensure timely completion within budget.
- Environmental Health and Safety: Implement and maintain comprehensive safety programs, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address facility-related incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in facilities management in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices in facilities management.
- Construction and Facility Start-up: Proven experience in managing construction projects and starting up new facilities.
Working Conditions
- This office-based position requires occasional travel between local facilities. The Sr/Executive Director of Facilities must be available for emergency calls and situations outside regular working hours.
