Executive Director, Obesity, Analytics & Forecasting

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the analytics and forecasting leader for the Obesity therapeutic area, supporting Global Commercial, U.S., and R&D leadership
- Translate analytics and forecasts into clear, actionable recommendations that shape portfolio strategy, brand plans, and investment decisions for CEO staff
- Anticipate market evolution, competitive dynamics, and policy changes through scenario planning and forward-looking analytics
- Establish analytics and forecasting as core strategic enablers across all stages of the product lifecycle (from early pipeline to in-line brands)
- Lead global and U.S. performance analytics (brand performance, patient dynamics, demand drivers, executional effectiveness)
- Oversee advanced analytics (predictive modeling, segmentation, simulation, scenario-based decision support)
- Integrate diverse data sources (real-world data, claims, digital, promotional, financial) to deliver decision-ready insights
- Drive development of subnational and longitudinal analytics for targeting, resource allocation, and optimization
- Establish analytics standards, methodologies, and governance for consistency and scalability across regions
- Direct long-, mid-, and short-term forecasting for the obesity portfolio (pipeline, launch, and in-line products)
- Own Global, U.S., and regional forecast alignment (consistent assumptions/methodologies/scenarios)
- Lead pipeline and lifecycle forecasting to support portfolio prioritization, business development evaluation, and R&D investment decisions
- Ensure forecasts are integrated into financial planning, capacity planning, and enterprise decision-making
- Proactively identify risks/opportunities via scenario planning, sensitivity analyses, and competitive simulations
- Partner with Commercial, R&D, Medical, Finance, Market Access, and Operations; embed analytics into business planning, performance management, and strategic reviews
- Build and lead global analytics/forecasting teams; mentor leaders; foster rigor, transparency, continuous improvement, and experimentation
Required onsite:
- On-site attendance at least 3 days per week in Thousand Oaks, California
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree + 6 years of analytics/forecasting experience OR
- Masterโs degree + 10 years of analytics/forecasting experience OR
- Bachelorโs degree + 12 years of analytics/forecasting experience, AND
- 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs or directing allocation of resources
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD preferred) in business, life sciences, economics, statistics, data science, or related field
- 12+ years analytics/forecasting experience, including at least 5 years in senior/executive leadership roles
- Biopharmaceutical industry experience (metabolic disease/obesity/adjacent areas)
- Expertise in U.S., Global, and pipeline forecasting (launch and lifecycle management)
- Background in performance and advanced analytics applied to commercial and portfolio decision-making
- Ability to influence senior leaders in a matrixed global organization
- Executive communication skills translating complex analyses into strategic narratives
- Adaptability in a fast-moving, competitive, evolving therapeutic landscape
