Executive Director, Microbiology Quality Sterility Assurance

Role: Executive Director of Microbiology Quality Sterility Assurance, leading global contamination control and microbiological quality strategies within BMS's Corporate Quality. Responsibilities: define and oversee enterprise-wide Contamination Control Strategy, serve as the senior point of contact for sterility assurance, lead regulatory interactions, support CMO partnerships, and develop microbiological controls across manufacturing sites—pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, cell therapy, and radiopharmaceuticals. Drive continuous improvement, oversee investigations, and ensure compliance with EU GMP Annex 1, FDA, and global standards. Lead a newly established global team, build microbiology capabilities, and influence external industry bodies. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Microbiology, Life Sciences, or Biological Sciences; 10+ years in aseptic/sterility assurance, with extensive experience in regulated environments and leading large, global teams; proven regulatory inspection support. Preferred: Advanced degrees (MS, PhD), experience with CMO partnerships, and involvement in industry associations.
