Job Summary (Primary Function)
- Executive Director, Legal – US Commercial: strategic legal advisor and partner to US commercial teams (excluding Market Access), providing proactive counsel and balancing business enablement with regulatory and risk management.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Partner with US Commercial and Global Product Strategy on launch excellence, lifecycle management, and evolving promotional models.
- Anticipate and advise on emerging legal, regulatory, enforcement, and industry trends impacting US commercialization.
- Provide executive-level risk assessments and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Use established relationships to promote proactive use of in-house legal counsel.
- Drive consistency across US Legal (guides/learned lessons) for product promotion, HCP engagements, scientific communications, and patient advocacy.
- Enable consistent risk-based decision-making for commercial and scientific activities.
- Identify training needs, deliver legal training, and create enduring guidance to standardize legal reviews.
- Improve Legal efficiency, reduce duplication, and partner to improve processes.
- Build and lead a high-performing legal team (priorities, mentoring, quality/timeliness, engagement and collaboration).
- Manage workload and re-allocate work across Hematology-Oncology and Dermatology.
- Provide day-to-day legal advice/support for US commercial/scientific activities, including launch support, lifecycle management, MLR reviews, nonpromotional materials, sales/marketing/medical affairs input, engagement assessments, and contract drafting/review/negotiation (MSAs, consulting, confidentiality).

Qualifications
- J.D. and active membership in at least one state bar; ability to qualify as in-house counsel in PA and DE.
- 10+ years relevant legal experience; 4+ years in-house supporting pharma sales/marketing (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of pharma marketing/communications and compliance frameworks (FDCA/FDA, AKS/OIG, HIPAA, Sunshine Act, PhRMA Code).
- Business acumen in pharmaceutical commercialization strategy; executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience with advertising/promotion/labeling, PRB participation, and product launches.
- Experience counseling on FDA and OIG regulatory legal risks.
- Strong risk-based judgment, multitasking, attention to detail, collaboration, and ability to work independently in a matrixed org.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to travel up to 10% within the U.S.
